Martin was riding his bicycle home from work in October 1986 when a car came toward him at high speed, taking a curve wide on his side of the road. The collision was unavoidable, and Martin was declared dead for 8 minutes. During his experience, he found himself in an indescribably light environment, floating in a warm sea of vibrating colored crystals. He saw his transparent body glowing like a light-tube and observed the accident scene from above, feeling the emotions of those helping him. He encountered five light-beings who identified themselves as his guides and traveled through a tunnel toward a radiating light source. He met a light Being who showed him how life was meant to function on earth through unconditional love and unity. Martin could see energies connecting all people, animals, plants, and matter through beams of light. He was eventually sent back against his will but gained profound insights about the nature of consciousness and our interconnected existence.
