On December 13, 2012, Marie was hit by a motor scooter while crossing a street and fell into a coma. In the ICU, she experienced leaving her body through the top of her head, observing herself from about two meters above the hospital bed. She saw her body connected to machines with multiple lines. After briefly reviewing pleasant moments from her life, she traveled at incredible speed through a dark, round tunnel toward an immensely beautiful light filled with love and serenity. Upon entering the light, she became the light itself - an energy filled with love, protection, and knowledge. She was surrounded by hierarchies of angels sending infinite love and protection. Ancient consciousnesses taught her universal knowledge. Her deceased great-grandparents appeared holding hands, transmitting even more love. When she asked about her sister who had committed suicide 27 years earlier, they briefly left and returned, revealing her sister as a distant sparkling light with wings, surrounded by angelic beings. They indicated her sister had needed to go through a dark circle but was now ready to help family members. Marie then grew immensely large with huge wings like a phoenix before rapidly retracting and returning to her body in the ICU. Medical staff had believed her cranial trauma was too severe for recovery. The experience gave her certainty that death leads to a world of love. She later received messages about future religious unity and continues to experience visions.
