Vincent underwent mitral valve reconstruction surgery on October 3, 1999, being the first European patient for this new technique. The operation was observed by surgeons from across Europe. During clinical death, Vincent had an extensive NDE beginning with observing his body from above and the medical team working on him. He could see through walls and perceive thoughts of those present.
He was drawn through an energetic blue tunnel with swirling walls at dizzying speed, accompanied by harmonious sounds. Emerging into light composed of luminescent colors, he felt immense love and entered an otherworldly realm with magnificent landscapes of impossible geometry. A luminous female presence guided him to rest under a majestic tree where he received universal knowledge. He visited lower spiritual realms witnessing souls trapped by wickedness, and higher realms of divine light. Vincent met a friend who had died 35 years earlier and encountered highly luminous beings he felt were religious figures. He gained understanding about reincarnation, spiritual evolution, universe structure, and humanity's future including specific world events. The experience included visions of both heavenly and hellish realms, with detailed cosmological teachings about vibratory states and soul progression. Post-NDE, Vincent developed clairvoyance, clairaudience, precognition, and devoted himself to helping dying patients. He wrote two books detailing his extensive experience and the spiritual knowledge received.
