Georgina C experienced a catastrophic medical emergency on October 16, 2013, fifteen days after giving birth by C-section. While sitting with her newborn and older daughter, she suffered a sudden, intense headache that rapidly progressed to inability to breathe and loss of consciousness. Her father, a Kundalini Yoga master, provided Reiki while emergency services were called. She experienced multiple brain bleeds requiring emergency craniotomy decompression surgery and remained in a coma for three weeks, during which doctors declared her brain dead with no hope of recovery.
During her coma, Georgina had extensive out-of-body experiences where she witnessed events throughout the hospital. She saw her mother crying while caring for the baby in another room, her eldest daughter in bed with her mother, and her father calling the ambulance. She observed her arrival at the hospital, watched doctors declaring no pulse, and witnessed her teenage brother's arrival two days later. Throughout her three-week coma, she maintained consciousness outside her body, desperately trying to communicate with family members who couldn't hear her, repeatedly asking about her children without receiving any response. The most profound aspect was her spiritual journey with her father and husband to various known and unknown locations while her body remained comatose. At the moment of return, they were in an extremely cold place wearing winter gear when she asked for coffee. They embraced her and told her it was time to return, which coincided with her awakening from the coma. She also experienced a brilliant white light that approached her, which her father asked if she wanted to enter, to which she refused by closing her eyes. Upon awakening, Georgina's first word to her brother was "Geo," confirming her cognitive function. Her father's background in energy work and her heightened sensitivity following the experience validated her belief in the separation of consciousness from the physical body. This experience fundamentally transformed her perception of reality and deepened her understanding of love as the force that moves everything.
