Dale awoke with severe chest pain and asked his wife to call 911. He passed out on the toilet and was unconscious for about a minute according to his wife. During this time, he experienced the presence of unrecognized comforting beings without physical contact. He found himself lying in a warm, well-lit place he couldn't identify. He felt ineffable, infinite peace and well-being with a sense of being totally loved and accepted. Remarkably, he experienced no fear despite having chronic anxiety disorder. The experience seemed to last only seconds but left a profound impact. After regaining consciousness, he was taken to the emergency room where he underwent coronary catheterization revealing a complete blockage of his right coronary artery requiring two stents. The experience has remained constantly in his mind since, creating deep nostalgia for that state of being. He reports becoming more spiritual, certain that he is loved, and much less fearful in daily life.
