Chris was stabbed in the chest by a disturbed woman he'd offered a ride after she said he had no eyes. The blade slid across his sternum into his right lung. Knowing he was drowning in blood, he recited Psalms he didn't know he knew, said the Lord's Prayer, asked forgiveness, and called for his deceased father's help. He died once at the scene and twice on the operating table.
His father appeared holding him, looking about 25 years old, telling him everything was alright. Chris could breathe again and wasn't in the parking lot anymore. Surrounded by young-looking people who had known and loved him in life, his dad introduced him to King David from the Bible. They recited the Lord's Prayer together. Chris talked with over a hundred people over what seemed like days, recognizing some immediately and knowing others despite only seeing them as a baby. Jesus stood nearby watching the whole time, making the decision whether to take him or send him back. When Chris asked his father what Jesus would decide, his dad didn't know. Eventually his father said "You have to go back now." Though Chris wanted to stay, he knew better than to protest. The experience made him realize how loved he had been and still is. King David told him to "fight." Waking briefly in the ambulance before dying twice more on the operating table, Chris experienced a separate out-of-body event. The encounter removed his fear of death, increased his faith dramatically, made him more compassionate (praying for bad drivers instead of cursing them), and gave him absolute certainty that God exists, heaven exists, and hell exists.
