Terry was in a coma for five days following a suicide attempt by overdose. During one of those days, she heard her heart monitor alarm sound and observed herself from above, looking down at her body. She noticed a deceased person covered head to toe with a sheet to her right. A white glow surrounded her being as she floated above. She could clearly hear a doctor below saying he was not going to lose another one and beginning CPR on her body. She waved her arms trying to make him stop as she did not want to return, but he could not see her. She was forced to return to her body against her will. When she awoke from the coma, she no longer feared death. The experience transformed her relationship with mortality.

--- Biblical Summary ---

Biblical elements: The experience contains classic NDE elements found in biblical accounts including out-of-body experience similar to Paul's account in 2 Corinthians 12:2-3, presence of divine light reminiscent of biblical theophanies, and complete loss of fear of death reflecting 1 Corinthians 15:55 "O death, where is thy sting?" The white glow could represent divine presence or angelic beings. The transformation from suicidal ideation to acceptance of life reflects biblical redemption themes.

Unbiblical elements: None explicitly identified. While suicide attempt preceded the NDE, the experience itself contained no endorsement of self-harm. No reincarnation, occult practices, or universal salvation themes present. The forced return aligns with divine sovereignty over life and death.
