In January 1989, Anabela's father was cutting an olive tree with a chainsaw when she saw it falling toward her. Unable to escape, she turned and crouched as a branch struck her back, crushing it and causing intense pain. She walked 100 meters home but could barely see or hear. At the closed door, after telling her parents she was thirsty, everything went dark and she began sliding at high speed through a tunnel with dark and colored sections.
Instantaneously, Anabela found herself sitting on a perfect, clean grass hill level with the sun, wearing a white robe and barefoot. She saw trees nearby under a deep blue, cloudless sky. She felt enormous well-being - neither hot nor cold - and felt she had returned home after being away too long. She didn't remember living on Earth except for the tree accident, which seemed like a nightmare. She felt completely free, safe, and happy forever in this place where no evil existed. Looking up, Anabela saw a white light beam from the sky entering through her head, feeling literally filled with God's love, being healed and fulfilled with peace, happiness, joy, and life. The happiness was indescribable. She then heard her mother screaming and initially thought she was coming to join her. As the screaming continued, she became anxious, it grew dark, and she flew through fog, seeing a burned, dark place with burned trees below. Upon opening her eyes on her house porch with her parents beside her, Anabela felt both sad to return and happy knowing she had been in heaven. The experience transformed her faith, making her seek to know God better, particularly through Jesus and the Catholic faith.
