On August 13, 2014, Alena was working in her barn with a young three-year-old breeding horse. After finishing grooming, she passed by the horse's head when the animal spooked, bolted backward, and snapped a cross tie. The horse lost balance and pulled Alena underneath, ripping muscles from her right shoulder. The horse fell on her, crushing her between its hip, the wall, and concrete floor. Alena heard cracking sounds as her bones broke, and when the horse tried to get up, it fell on her again causing more fractures.
Suddenly everything went white and clear in Alena's head. She entered a tunnel made of smooth, solid material with nothing to grasp. At the tunnel's end was an extremely bright light exerting a powerful pulling force. Alena knew instinctively that reaching the light would mean the end of her existence - not with negative or positive emotions, but as a matter of fact. She desperately resisted the force, trying to hold onto the smooth tunnel walls, fighting with all her being against being pulled into the light. The battle continued until Alena became utterly exhausted, her grip weakening until she had nothing left to resist with. Suddenly, the pulling force disappeared and she was overwhelmed with eternal peace and love - a love-enlightened feeling that remained with her two years later. She felt that everything would be good and sensed angels were there to help her survive, though she didn't see them. Upon returning to her body, despite her arm hanging by skin alone and terrible pain, Alena knew she would heal well. She felt driven by a mission to maintain control and ensure her body was cared for, believing she was needed for something bigger. The experience left her with lasting feelings of peace, love, and purpose.
