At age 16 in 1990, Udaya slipped and fell at home, losing consciousness for several minutes according to her mother. During this time, she experienced floating through a completely dark tunnel while maintaining full awareness of her identity and surroundings. She could hear her mother crying and knew her body was lying on the floor, yet felt completely detached from it with no emotional connection. She recognized herself as separate from her physical form. While traveling through the tunnel, she felt overwhelming joy and the sensation of heading toward her true destination. She sensed the presence of her deceased grandmother and other souls surrounding her with love. The experience was interrupted by a powerful, commanding voice that ordered her to open her eyes three times. This divine command was so strong that she felt compelled to return to her body. Upon regaining consciousness, she felt physical distress and immediately tried to repeat a phrase she had been given, though she could not remember what it was. Medical examination at the hospital found no physical injuries. The experience profoundly affected her spiritual development, leading her to embrace the understanding that she is an eternal soul rather than merely a physical body.
