Sue Ann experienced cardiac arrest in January 2011 due to medication that accelerated her heart rate combined with an undiagnosed heart defect. In the ambulance, she told the EMT she was dying and could feel herself going, then heard the monitoring equipment beep as she flatlined. She found herself in bright light that didn't hurt her eyes, where even the ground was light. To her right, she saw three identical, ancient humanoid beings connected as one, wearing robes with falling flower petals and feathers. Communication was telepathic as her soul asked why she had endured so much heartache. They responded that she had chosen every path and would rejoice in every experience, but it wasn't her time yet. She then appeared in a cathedral surrounded by people whose faces she couldn't see due to her own bright light. After being gone for what the doctor said was 20 seconds (though 95% don't return from being gone that long), the EMT successfully performed CPR. Sue Ann remained in critical condition for three days but made a full recovery without organ damage. The experience strengthened her faith, as she believes she was before God as a trinity.
