During labor, Joanne felt faint with bouncing eyes as her baby's heartbeat stopped, causing panic among staff. She felt warm envelopment and lost consciousness, then experienced incredible peace while slowly rising from her body toward the ceiling. Everything turned deep orange as she watched staff frantically working below. Rising past a wall clock she tried to cling to, she was drawn toward a white light tunnel above. She sensed her deceased father's presence and personal love in the light. Realizing she couldn't leave her unborn baby with her violent partner, she chose to return despite the intensifying love from the light. She saw future visions of her husband hitting her and herself leaving with the baby by train. With tremendous effort, she lunged toward her baby and bounced back into her body with great force, immediately feeling pain and hearing chaos. Her daughter was saved by emergency cesarean. The baby appeared remarkably alert, holding her head up like a 6-month-old. Joanne later developed psychic abilities, became a tarot reader, Reiki master, and hypnotherapist, often present at people's deaths to help them pass over.
