On December 23, 1958, Roxanne was struck by a car as a child, resulting in unconsciousness for three days, concussion, and a broken arm. During the incident, she experienced an out-of-body perspective, watching her body from above as if from a tree, observing a woman screaming after hitting her with the car. She was transported to a wondrous landscape where all feelings and events of her life occurred simultaneously. She passed through darkness into total light and encountered a being who initially appeared as unconditional love, then transformed into her deceased grandfather. Everything appeared to be made of light, including ethereal castles and flowers made of clouds. She experienced a comprehensive life review where she saw how everything she felt, said, and did impacted everything else. She gained understanding that our perception of time and space is limited by physical existence. When she saw her younger brother on Earth and understood how much he needed her, she was sent back against her initial inclination to stay.
