Jeanne hemorrhaged severely one week after giving birth to her daughter in 1969. During the life-threatening event, she left her physical body and hovered above it, watching doctors frantically work to save her life by cutting open collapsed veins and filling them with plasma. She had no physical eyes but could observe everything with clarity, including seeing a woman die across the hallway and watching her soul sail upward. She could hear without physical ears, including her husband's conversation down the hallway and his unspoken thoughts and fears. She had absolute knowing without a physical brain. She experienced a state beyond emotion as we understand it - blissfully peaceful and serene. When faced with the choice to continue or return, she knew she had to go back to raise her children, understanding that her husband would resent their daughter if she died. She instantly returned to her pain-wracked body heading into surgery with her eighth unit of blood. The experience gave her a complete understanding of our continuation after death and eliminated her fear of death while paradoxically increasing her love for life.
