Javier was in a catastrophic underground train crash on February 28, 1975, with over 40 dead in the front coach and only two survivors. The scene was horrific with twisted metal, decapitated bodies, and rats attracted to the carnage. He was unconscious for 4-5 hours before rescuers arrived. Following the impact, he lost all notion of time and location, feeling he "ascended" and was being "absorbed" into space.
Javier floated into an all-white, peaceful space - not shiny white but a different, relaxing whiteness. He was magnetically attracted upward, absorbed slowly into the marvelous calm. The place radiated peace with no sound, buildings, or people, yet he knew he wasn't alone. The magnificent whiteness attracted him like a child to candy, providing never-ending eternal pleasure as he let himself be absorbed. Then instantly, Javier fell into an unending depth to a horrible place of extreme heat, loud screams, and torture. It was totally dark and he desperately wanted to repel the downward attraction but couldn't stop being swallowed. It terrified him like a child seeing a lion. He was unconscious 4-5 hours until rescuers shouted "Is there anyone else there?" and he responded without knowing why. The experience convinced Javier of the existence of both Heaven and Hell, having visited both. Initially dismissed as "mad" in 1975, he later wrote a book about it. He experienced premonitions afterward and became greatly compassionate, seeing continuity of existence from before birth through death into eternity.
