At age 9, Shanna's older brother and his friend tried to make her faint by simultaneously pressing on her heart and choking her against a wall. She left her body and floated behind them, looking down as they continued trying to make her faint. Her physical body turned blue and slid down the wall when they released her. Her spirit drifted toward the ceiling where she saw a figure in a white flowing robe with long wavy brown hair gesturing for her to follow. Though his face appeared as white light, she felt she had known him forever. Following him through a portal in the ceiling, she was wrapped in overwhelming love and comfort. She entered a realm of intense white light where she became the essence of serenity, joy, peace, and love. Hundreds of shadowy figures surrounded her. Two women approached - one with short golden hair who spoke to her at length, another with short black hair who stayed back. The golden-haired woman told her it wasn't her time, that she had many good and significant things to do in her lifetime and would do much-needed good in the world. Initially sad to leave, she understood her strong purpose. Upon return, she saw orbs of light that gradually dissipated. Her brother and friend, who looked terrified, confirmed she had been unconscious. Later she recognized the visitors as her great-grandmother and great-grandfather's sister from family photos.
