After being given 5 months to live by Stanford doctors and surviving 13 months, Duane died while sitting upright in his recliner. He fell through black space in paralyzing terror until focusing on a soft light brought profound peace. He was greeted by his soul group spanning the horizon - deceased relatives including grandfathers, dog Butch, aunt, uncle, and entities from other incarnations. He experienced the most intense love, like waves of a tsunami. Communication was telepathic and instantaneous. He learned about multiple incarnations, seeing souls from past lives in Germany (1937), Italy (13th century), and as a Native American. His mother appeared with chocolate cake he desired, though she was still alive. A divine Voice welcomed him home but asked if he wanted to return to fulfill commitments to his daughters. Despite desperately not wanting to return from the bliss, he chose to go back. He was told he would receive guidance and had things to do. Multiple return visits over two years provided extensive teachings about reality, reincarnation, and Earth as a theme park for soul adventures.
