In 2002, when Sadaf was 5 years old, she went outside to play and fell into a ditch. The edge of the ditch struck her belly hard, causing respiratory arrest and loss of consciousness. Her uncle noticed the accident, rushed to carry her back home, and attempted resuscitation. This traumatic injury resulted in cessation of breathing, representing a life-threatening event requiring immediate intervention.
During the experience, Sadaf initially only perceived darkness while maintaining awareness of sounds around her - hearing her distressed family members, some crying, as her uncle laid her on the floor. At that moment, her soul separated from her body and she found herself observing the scene from ceiling level. She could clearly see herself lying on the ground with a very pale appearance, surrounded by family and relatives. Time seemed to slow down dramatically - she could observe clock hands moving slower than normal, noting it was 9:37 (though as a child she couldn't read time but remembered the exact position of the clock hands). Remarkably, despite having weak vision requiring glasses from an early age, during the OBE she could see everything with perfect clarity without corrective lenses. The light bulbs appeared much brighter from her elevated perspective. She witnessed her uncle performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and could sense her family's distress, though she could no longer hear their voices once out of body. Specific observations included seeing exactly where each family member was positioned around her body and what clothes each person was wearing - details later confirmed accurate. She felt herself being pulled down very hard back into her body from above, even passing through her uncle's body during the return. The transition reversed her sensory experience - she could hear but not see initially, then upon return could see but not hear. The experience left lasting impressions despite her young age. She initially forgot the experience but suddenly remembered everything with complete clarity ten years later. When she shared the details with her mother, who hadn't been present, her mother understood why her uncle's wife had been crying that day. The verification of specific details about people's positions and clothing confirmed the reality of her observations.
