Philip was participating in a 150-mile charity bicycle ride when he overexerted himself fighting headwinds and heat. After 65 miles, he collapsed and died from organ failure. They suddenly bowed as a royal figure approached - Philip believes this was Jesus Christ. This figure smiled at him with parental concern and said it wasn't his time, that he must return to Earth. The figure told him not to fear making mistakes and to show unconditional love to others. Philip was gently carried back to his body where the nurses confirmed his pulse had returned. The experience transformed him from atheistic thinking to deep faith, increased compassion, and gave him insights into quantum physics and the nature of existence.
