Following hysterectomy surgery, Muriel experienced severe hemorrhaging that put her life in danger. While medical staff worked to stabilize her with blood transfusions, she had a profound near-death experience. She encountered a tall, beautiful being of light with blue eyes who appeared at the foot of her bed holding a large book. This being asked her what she wanted from life, and she expressed desires to kiss her children and understand nature, science, and love. She was shown scenes from her life and gained deep understanding about the universe being constructed from love. During a second crisis in the operating room, she left her body and floated above the surgical lamp, observing the medical team working. Throughout the experience, she felt incredible peace, unconditional love, and a sense of belonging in a realm of pure light. She was given a mission to help battered women and returned with lasting spiritual transformation.
