Mike was running at the YMCA when his heart went into fibrillation. He suddenly found himself standing over a man on the ground while attendants performed CPR, then realized it was his own body. An old friend appeared beside him - someone he felt he had known for lifetimes. The light became intensely bright, bathing everything and shining through him. He experienced a complete life review where he could see and feel how his decisions impacted others, with no guilt or blame, only understanding. He saw relatives across a river of light and felt intense, all-encompassing love. He discussed with his guide whether to stay or return, choosing to return for his 2-year-old son and wife. He observed his body in the ambulance from above, hearing thoughts and voices of emergency personnel. In the emergency room, he watched from a corner, aware his wife was coming, before being pulled back into his heavy, painful body. The experience showed him that earthly life is an illusion, a learning vehicle, and that love is all there is - the fabric of consciousness itself. He gained awareness that we have many lives, we are all connected as one, and there is no way to fail as long as we remember the love.
