Mike was in the cardiac catheterization laboratory with 100% blockage when he experienced cardiac arrest. During the event, he saw himself through someone else's eyes in a large barn-like structure covering about 100 yards. The entire scene was black and grey except for himself, who appeared in color wearing a red shirt with a yellow beam of light extending upward from his head. He observed hundreds of grey figures walking around taking tiny steps with their heads down, all looking identical with no distinguishable gender. The floor was firm dirt. He was about 10 yards in the foreground and could see himself clearly in color while everything else remained grey. When he tried to ask where he was, he was ignored as if he wasn't there. He was shocked 14 times before being successfully resuscitated. After the experience, he feels that family and friends seem closer, and he has gained the knowledge that there is something after death. The experience gave him certainty about continuation after physical death, though he found the grey figures and barn-like setting somewhat confusing.
