Laura received an incorrect overdose of MRI contrast (gadolinium) injected into her cerebral spinal fluid, causing severe vomiting and inability to talk, walk, or move. While unconscious, she floated in darkness and saw two arc-shaped beams of light. The top beam represented positive things like love and kindness, while the lower beam represented negative things like greed and hate. Inside the negative beam, she discovered another light beam containing 5-6 gray beings in lighted compartments. She realized she was on "the other side" and that it wasn't her time to be there. It was clearly communicated that this would be a beautiful place when her proper time came. She chose to stay with the positive light to survive. After a drain was inserted to remove the contrast, she regained consciousness. The experience left her without fear of death and certain of an afterlife.
