Victorio fell head-first out of a moving bus in 1982 when the driver made a violent maneuver. He hit his head on the pavement and was taken to Carrillo Sanatorium. During his unconscious state, Victorio observed himself from above, as if on top of the bus, watching the driver lift his body and continue to the hospital. At the sanatorium, he witnessed the doctor examine him, checking pulse and breathing with a mirror, then declaring him clinically dead with no pressure or heart function. He heard the doctor order nurses to take him to the second floor since there were no beds and he was dead. While on the stretcher, Victorio saw a brilliant white light in the distance and floated toward it. Upon entering the light, his arms disappeared through it while part remained outside. People within the light, all deceased friends and family with complete bodies, came to greet him. He then heard his son calling about his bleeding left ear, felt a severe headache, and returned to his body in intensive care. The doctor who treated him waited two months before explaining what transpired, saying God used her to perform a miracle.
