In April 2012, Tina experienced a ruptured aortic aneurysm and clinical death, with her doctor later confirming she had died. Having felt a premonition of danger that morning, she was guided to leave home and go to a specific store where help would be available when the medical crisis struck. During her death state, she found herself sitting in a simple bamboo chair in a bright, misty white space with a film projector on a cart beside her showing scenes on two massive drive-in movie theater-sized screens. The left screen showed her daughter Sofie's future graduation without her - tears in Sofie's eyes, her husband Johnny's joyless expression, and her son Corey looking lost, yet Tina felt only perfect peace, never needing to breathe, free from all pain. The right screen displayed the same graduation as a joyous celebration with Tina present - Sofie throwing her hat in the air, family embracing, everyone successful and happy, but Tina could feel the agonizing pain she would endure, like being hit with 100 sledgehammers, years of healing ahead. She sensed presences behind her with hands on her shoulders, heard a presence telling her that her father was coming, and understood she was being given a choice between peaceful death or painful life with purpose. Despite the extraordinary peace and expansion she felt in death, where she existed everywhere and everywhen simultaneously, she chose the painful path to fulfill her purpose as wife and mother. She immediately returned to her body in excruciating pain and continues to live with chronic pain and health issues including a tumor, but remains committed to her choice, knowing her purpose is simply but profoundly to be present for her family.
