Simon was working on a yacht when he sustained a head injury and fell overboard in 2014. With no memory of the accident, he found himself face down in the lake with a mouth full of water after experiencing a vision of his fiancée Kristi standing over him, calmly but insistently telling him to wake up. Though she was not physically present at the marina, her appearance in his vision saved his life by rousing him from unconsciousness. Upon awakening in the water, Simon managed to swim to the boat and climb aboard, expecting to see Kristi but finding himself alone. He had sustained a moderate concussion with a baseball-sized knot on his head, bruised hip and elbow. In his confused state, he called Kristi, who had left work early due to an unexplained feeling and was only 15 minutes away. Simon believes this experience demonstrates a telepathic connection between close loved ones. Unlike his previous near-death experiences, including a childhood drowning, this was the only time he experienced such a vision. He credits his survival entirely to his special relationship with his fiancée and their deep connection. The experience reinforced his belief that humans possess telepathic abilities that can manifest in life-threatening situations between people who share close bonds.
