Sherry experienced anaphylactic shock from an allergic reaction to codeine cough syrup at age 22 in 1992. While in her kitchen with family, she collapsed and began losing consciousness, turning green as her heart stopped. She observed the scene from outside her body, seeing her family's reactions simultaneously as her sister backed up the truck and her father helped despite his hip surgery. During this state, she was gently guided toward a brilliant white light where she felt unconditional love and immense joy. She sensed God's presence without seeing Him directly and wanted to stay in that peaceful state. She was aware of seeing everything happening - her mother's face, her sister getting the truck, and her father struggling to lift her. The experience filled her with a deep sense of divine love and universal connection. She felt that all souls come from one source and return to one. Suddenly she awoke in the truck about 10 miles from home, crying because she wanted to return to that divine presence. The hospital confirmed she had gone into anaphylactic shock and her heart had stopped, causing her to turn green. This experience eliminated her fear of death and strengthened her spiritual beliefs beyond traditional religious boundaries.
