Scott B was clinically dead after crashing his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle at over 80 mph without a helmet on April 19, 2014. At the time, he was a practicing crack addict, drinker, and pot smoker with years of substance abuse history, having been in and out of prisons and jails his whole life since youth. He states clearly that this experience was nothing like any drug-induced state he had experienced. According to his account, he was told he was out for 5 days, though he felt it was only 10 minutes.
While dead, Scott was in the presence of what he calls the Supreme Being. He experienced no pain and had no speech, communicating instead through thought transfer or telepathy. There was no darkness, only light - not like sunlight from a source, but being within the light itself, surrounded everywhere by light. He was in a different, higher state of consciousness and awareness, feeling awakened from sleep into a "Real state of being." The experience was so wonderful it trumped all earthly experiences, including love for his child. He felt loved without worry or sadness and experienced a reality where there was no sense of time. Scott pleaded with the light/presence to let him stay, stating there was nothing but him and this presence. He was upset about being sent back to Earth, describing his return as the worst part of the experience. He felt intense sight and mental state but no physical sensations. He gained understanding that "there is MORE" and felt he was finally home where he truly belonged, experiencing love, joy, and peace beyond earthly comprehension. The experience completely transformed Scott's life, taking away his urge for crack cocaine addiction that meetings had never fully addressed. He feels he was sent back to tell others the truth - that we don't simply go into a grave when the body dies, but that death is "a beginning to really living." He has encountered several others with similar NDEs who all agree on the timelessness, painlessness, and desire to stay.
