Jiří fell from the first floor and was struck by a flying plank causing severe head trauma and unconsciousness. He found himself in a beautiful meadow on a sunny day with a clump of trees to his right and two deer to his left. The trees seemed very enticing and he felt drawn to go there, sensing it would solve his troubles. However, he knew that going to the trees meant no return. He remembered a girl he was attracted to and decided not to give up on life. After 5-10 minutes in this state, his father woke him and he was taken by ambulance. The experience reminded him of paradise descriptions in Dante's Divine Comedy, which he read a month later.
