James was swimming with his girlfriend in a deep natural pool during holiday season. Realizing he was too poor a swimmer to reach the middle, he tried to return to the edge. About 2 meters from safety, exhausted, he attempted to stand but fell under and began drowning. Despite being extremely depressed before this event, he desperately wanted to live, thinking "It can't end here." After blacking out, he found himself in a void having a conversation with a faint masculine energy presence on his right side. The entity communicated without words that it wouldn't decide his fate - the choice to live or die was James's. The entity seemed to desire James to come with it, like a magnet slowly pulling. James expressed a desire to "see how things are down there" and briefly opened his eyes, floating slightly out of body like an orb, seeing the foggy green water. The entity urged him to hurry as time was running out. Scared of leaving, James said "please, someone save me, I'm going back." Immediately, he was pulled from the water by someone grabbing his extended hand. The experience left him still depressed but with increased excitement, upset, and curiosity about figuring life out for himself.
