Genny, age 77, underwent three major surgeries in March 2012 for blood clots and an aneurysm. During the second surgery, she had an aneurysm and lost 29 pints of blood. Before being taken to surgery, her grandson told her unconscious form that he was going to marry his girlfriend, wanting her to be first to know. While unconscious during surgery, she heard this conversation.
During her NDE, Genny found herself out of body floating over the most beautiful flowers with colors that don't exist on earth - radiant and vibrant. She saw trees, rivers, and streams. She knew she was on her way to heaven and felt very happy. Jesus Christ appeared to her from a doorway, visible from the waist up. She immediately recognized him though he looked different than earthly depictions - medium skin tone, dark hair, fairly young, kind and loving. Jesus called her name and told her "My child, I cannot let you come in. I have more work on earth for you to do." Despite arguing that she was 77 years old, she was sent back. Upon waking, she saw her daughter praying with another person (she believes an angel) at the foot of her bed. She lost one leg during surgery but doesn't care, knowing she'll be whole in heaven. Her faith has grown stronger and she immediately began sharing her story, though some think she's crazy.
