A 15-year-old girl in 1996 was with friends drinking beer and smoking marijuana when an older man began preaching to them about the Bible and his spiritual experiences. Becoming scared and feeling conflicted in her conscience, her heart started beating extremely fast. She went to leave but suddenly fainted for approximately two minutes, during which she had a profound near-death experience that she wouldn't fully remember until three years ago.
She found herself moving through a very dark tunnel at tremendous speed, hearing herself think "I must be dead" and "Where am I going?" She knew it was reality and that she was no longer in her body. She was greeted by her deceased great-grandmother who looked remarkably young, along with many other deceased family members with big smiles on their faces. Some had died before she was born but she knew them from her mother's descriptions. Everyone was introducing themselves and she recognized them despite never meeting some in life. The most remarkable aspect was experiencing pure, intense love beyond description - wave after wave of love that was within her, around her, and everything. It felt like endless, eternal, and complete heartbeats of love. She had no fear whatsoever, only pure happiness and joy. Her great-grandmother showed her many things and explained them, though she doesn't remember the specifics. Significantly, her great-grandmother showed her a vision of her mother sitting in the living room crying. When she tried to stay, her great-grandmother told her "it wasn't time." She was pushed back through the tunnel as fast as she had come. She saw everyone standing around her body on the ground and kept thinking "I will not forget this" before returning to her body. She jumped up laughing, confused why everyone was standing over her. The ambulance came and when she got home, her mother was on the couch crying exactly as shown in the vision. The experience left her without fear of death, knowing that spirits live on beyond earthly existence, and understanding that we exist in a realm of pure love.
