A man experienced three strokes within 24 hours on June 29, 2015, with his heart rate exceeding 200 BPM. His body systems began shutting down - he lost movement, sight, and speech, retaining only hearing. The medical consultant requested his wife return to the hospital as it was unlikely he would survive another hour. This was his second NDE, having had one as a child.
During this critical state, he felt calm without any pain, knowing he was dying but finding it of no importance. As he prepared to leave his body, his entire life was "rolled out" for him to view, leaving him disappointed at how little he had accomplished. He became aware of a presence who communicated telepathically: "You have done enough; you can come over." He experienced beautiful peace within a soft yellow/gold backdrop. Remarkably, he felt no attachment to his children, family, or friends, realizing how short life is in cosmic terms and that they would all be together "in a moment." During his experience, he overheard two foreign male nurses betting on whether he would survive the night. He discussed his life with what he perceived as God, feeling guilt about not providing security for his wife. He insisted on returning even though he had fulfilled his purpose, gaining the insight that we are all here to allow souls to experience life through others. He was told he could return to fulfill his mission but would return to the souls at some point without warning. His heart rate gradually decreased and his sight returned three days later. He required months of rehabilitation to walk and talk again. His brain appears to have rewired itself, leaving him more self-contained, balanced, and better at understanding complex concepts. He reports being neither happy nor sad, just balanced, with a profound sense of loss for having to leave that place. He continues to feel this loss daily but remains committed to fulfilling his bargain until his time comes again.
