In summer 1961, 12-year-old Daniel hit his head on a bar during a Boy Scout meeting and fell backwards. He felt his heart stop and everything went black. After seeing light and his heart restarting, he was in severe pain and asked God to let him into heaven. A smoky tunnel appeared that cleared further up, revealing light. He was glad to be going up instead of down. He saw his body on the ground with eyes level with grass, and it was daylight though the accident occurred at night. An elderly white-haired man sat in a chair with a long-haired boy on a stool beside him, with woods in background. The elderly man told him to make peace on earth as he couldn't stay yet. Daniel saw his grandmother from a distance. He returned to his body and was taken to hospital for four stitches. In the car with his scoutmaster, his senses were keen and he saw the future - telling the scoutmaster he would join the Marines at 18 and go to Vietnam, where he would face an NVA Colonel in combat. This prophecy came true exactly 6 years later when Daniel's unit ambushed and killed an NVA colonel and 14 men on a trail in Vietnam, exactly as he had foreseen. He lost memory of the NDE for many years until about 4 years ago when it all came back.
