Mollie had miscarried twins at four months and underwent surgery to clean the womb. After surgery, she experienced terrible agony from internal pressure and couldn't get attention despite screaming. When staff finally responded, they monitored her vitals and found her blood pressure was zero and pulse had stopped or was too weak to monitor. Doctors and nurses began operating on her bed in the ward.
She found herself rising out of her body, looking down at the medical team working on her. She knew she was dead and could see bright yellow light at the end of a tunnel. Feeling wonderful peace with no pain, only joy and expectation, she thought "I'm not going back into that awful low life thing." As she moved toward the light and was leaving through the hospital ceiling, a woman's voice asked "What about Julie?" - her four-year-old daughter whom she had forgotten. This reminder shot her back into her body like being fired through a gun. She awoke later with the bed nearly vertical, standing on her head to restore blood pressure. She observed the medical team around her bed from above and could see the other patient in the next bed. Staff later acknowledged it was very close and seemed apologetic about the doctor's error.
