Bronwen had two NDEs three months apart. First, she fell several meters headfirst down a cliff onto sandstone rock when a tree came away in her hands. She traveled rapidly upward into the sky with immense joy and lightness, observing her crumpled body below and realizing "I" was not her body. She could see the Hawkesbury River and beautiful bush clearly. While heading toward cumulus clouds, she looked back and saw her boyfriend standing beside her body (which would have taken several minutes for him to reach). She could feel exactly what he was feeling - his distress filled her with compassion and brought her back. Three months later at a New Year's Eve party, she suddenly faced an enormously tall angel in radiant light. She knew this angel and he knew her. They communicated non-verbally for about 20 minutes as the angel reminded her of the power of LOVE as THE power of the universe. When she returned, hours had passed and everyone had left or gone to sleep - she had been physically removed during the experience. These experiences made her intensely empathetic overnight, able to feel others' pain and isolation. She gained an overwhelming sense of needing to DO something that has dominated her life since.
