Man experienced two near-death events. First at birth in 1971 when born premature with prolapsed umbilical cord causing cessation of breathing and heartbeat, requiring resuscitation and incubator care. He retained vague memories of bright fluorescent lights, female nurse voice, electronic beeping, and adhesive tape smell. At age six, he drew himself in hospital with tubes and wires, upsetting his mother. Second NDE occurred in November 1999 when accidentally shot in chest with 1.75-inch staple from malfunctioning air gun. He felt time slow down, left his body, and experienced vivid life review "like a video" including recovered memories of his birth resuscitation. He recalled the female voice looking down as delivery team resuscitated him as a newborn. During the 1999 incident, he felt himself leaving his body, experienced time distortion, and had heightened awareness while paramedics worked on him. Both experiences left him with precognitive abilities and changed perspective on death as transition rather than ending.
