At age three, this child experienced a profound near-death experience after intentionally overdosing on time-release medication. She was depressed from birth and consumed a medicine patch, stating she wanted to "fall asleep and never wake up" to be with "them." She was clinically dead for 6-14 minutes before being resuscitated with defibrillation. During her experience, she encountered a tall, beautiful woman in an unfamiliar place who warned her "they would bring me back and eventually I would understand." The woman told her she had to return but it was not yet her time. She felt mature and aware during the encounter despite her young age. Upon resuscitation, she told the nurse she had eaten the patch to be with "them." The experience left her with lasting questions about identity and purpose, feeling she might have lived before and wondering about reincarnation. She still struggles to understand the symbol she saw and continues to draw.
