Six-year-old Matt experienced a life-threatening swollen epiglottis that severely restricted his breathing while sleeping. He was rushed unconscious to the emergency room for emergency treatment and surgery.
During the experience, Matt was able to see the car rushing him to the hospital from above, floating behind the car approximately ten feet above the street. He could see himself in the back seat of the car. He then remembers seeing himself being operated on from an out-of-body perspective. Following the experience, Matt noticed he was able to see energy in random objects and developed a sense of the molecular makeup of objects, particularly furniture. This ability has persisted throughout his life. At the time, being only six years old, he didn't know how to describe what he felt and saw. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: Clear out-of-body experience with observation of his physical body from above during a life-threatening medical emergency. The development of enhanced perception afterward suggests spiritual awakening. Unbiblical elements: None explicitly problematic. The ability to perceive energy and molecular structures is unusual but not contradictory to scripture. Could be interpreted as a form of enhanced perception or spiritual gift.
