During childbirth, approximately 15-30 minutes after delivering her daughter, the experiencer told a nurse she wasn't feeling well and felt like passing out. She heard nurses reporting her blood pressure dropping to 80/60 and inability to start an IV due to collapsed veins. She heard doctors screaming about losing a patient. In her mind, she went down a dark tunnel and saw many pictures of herself from childhood to that present moment. She then had an out-of-body experience, viewing herself from above along with several nurses and two doctors in the operating room. Throughout the experience, she never lost her hearing and could hear everything being said. She was concerned about what would happen to her newborn daughter if she died, which seemed to trigger her return to her body.
