Sara was struck by a car traveling sixty-five miles per hour in a forty-five mile per hour zone as a pedestrian. Her brother, a firefighter with the hot shots, brought her back to life at the scene. The severe head trauma required brain surgery, and she remained in an eight-day coma. Doctors gave her only a twenty percent chance of waking up, warning that even if she did, she would likely be in a vegetative state or need to relearn everything like a baby. Against all medical expectations, she woke up after eight days as if nothing had happened, which doctors could only describe as a miracle.
During her near-death experience, Sara felt lifted up as if jumping over a wooden fence, entering a place that didn't belong on earth - a whole new dimension that looked like a beautiful painting. She found herself in an amazing field with perfectly wind-blown long grass and experienced a fulfilling, sweet smell like cotton candy mixed with paint that she'll never forget. Remarkably, she still experiences this distinctive smell three or four times a month. The scene included Jesus dressed as a shepherd and the Virgin Mary standing on rocks made of mixed gold, diamonds, pearls, and silver. She also saw two children - a blonde-golden-haired girl and a black-haired boy - kneeling near the beautiful rocks. Without physical speech, Sara could understand everyone telepathically. Jesus kept extending his right hand, indicating she could stay or go, making the gesture similar to the Sacred Heart of Jesus imagery. The children persistently signed for her to keep going. She felt heaviness pulling her back, and despite wanting to stay with Jesus, she experienced being sent back against her will, having a tantrum about leaving. She fought hard not to return to her broken body. Years later, Sara had her first child born with blonde-golden hair and her second child, a son, with black hair - looking exactly like the children she had seen in that other dimension during her NDE. The experience left her without fear of death and with the lasting ability to smell that unique heavenly scent. A stranger in California later approached her, knowing about her accident and experience, saying she was chosen by God not to suffer the end of the world.
