Mona was in a four-wheeler ATV accident. The driver yelled "hang on!" then she was out. CPR was performed - she was not breathing, airway clogged with dirt, no heartbeat. Responders cleared her airway and did CPR. She thinks she looked at herself alone on the dirt road as the driver ran for help, though she didn't recognize herself or care to go back. She was instantly flying, feeling like a bird with air on her face, experiencing freedom and peace. She heard a voice say "Mona, you need to go back." She thought "no" but before she knew it was gasping in a big breath of air. The experience felt clearer than normal consciousness. She flew through a green valley. Years later in another near-fatal car accident, she fell asleep at the wheel with a semi-truck approaching. The same voice loudly said "Mary!" waking her just in time to regain control. The witness behind her said they were sure she would die but somehow she made it. She also had a childhood out-of-body experience with fever where the same voice warned "if you don't go back someone else will go in" about her body. These multiple encounters with the same guiding voice across different life-threatening situations suggest a consistent spiritual protector.
