Michele had a car accident on ice resulting in multiple injuries including broken bones. After experiencing a life review showing small events that touched or upset people, she found herself at the ceiling of the operating room seeing a body with two heads bent over it. She called but wasn't heard. Her consciousness had no limits and she felt no pain. The person on the table appeared "ugly" in a non-physical, greyish way but she didn't recognize herself. She entered a tunnel without walls like a tornado, rising at breathtaking speed. She arrived before a luminous being who blocked the way saying "You shall help to give birth." The being was old without being old, welcoming yet sending her back. She was in living air full of white-golden light that "breathed love." Upon waking, she enthusiastically told her story to an elderly lady, but the anesthetist said "She's crazy enough to be locked away," shocking her into silence for 20 years. The experience led her to move to southern France, paint her experience symbolically, and dedicate her life to helping sick people, creating a palliative care association JALMALV in 2007. Her motto became "To live means serving."
