During prolonged labor, Marilyn experienced severe hemorrhaging that caused loss of consciousness before emergency cesarean section. She felt a tremendous pulling sensation from her chest area, surrounded by powerful wind and rushing water. Initially feeling like she was drowning, she heard an angel tell her to breathe, discovering she could breathe underwater. She then found herself floating as a ball of energy among other energy beings in a void, hearing their thoughts telepathically. She had no sense of past or future, only present awareness. She could understand the other energies were either dead or dying on the same journey. She was then suddenly slammed back into her body, finding herself in post-op with a blood transfusion. The experience gave her a new perspective on death and she no longer fears it, believing religion is less important than the physics of conscious energy forms.
