After a car accident impact, Luri was thrown toward asphalt with a car coming toward him. He left his body and moved/slid along the road about 500 meters, floating not walking. He saw a bright lamppost and realized it wasn't the spiritual light he sought. He slid back along the road seeing many people on the sides and parked cars, searching for familiar faces and hearing what they said. He stopped, looked down and saw his damaged body, thinking he had to return to it. After being pulled back, he opened his eyes and moved his fingers, alerting others he was alive. Witnesses including a neighbor and paramedic confirmed cardiac arrest and lack of pulse/vital signs. He experienced heightened clarity of hearing and could observe events while out of body. The experience reinforced his conviction about life after death.
