Peter suffered a fatal heart attack during a softball game in the 14th inning. After making a defensive play, he collapsed and was dead before hitting the ground. He immediately saw his deceased grandfather (died 1978) walking toward him from left field, appearing young rather than elderly. They walked together toward the fence while Peter observed the chaos on the field - paramedics using defibrillator paddles, his girlfriend being restrained, and hundreds of people in panic. From 100 feet above the field, he watched the entire resuscitation effort. His grandfather then took him to a place with three rooms: the first glowed like the sun with overwhelming love and peace, the second was grayish for meditation/prayer, and the third was dark and narrow. At the third door, another male figure warned that entering meant never returning. Peter felt apprehension but stepped partially through before being pulled back to life. He was revived multiple times with CPR and defibrillation. The experience completely eliminated his lifelong fear of death.
