At age 5, Patricia fell and hit her head on a kitchen floor while pretending to perform on a marble sink counter. She slipped on soap and struck the back of her head hard on the floor. During unconsciousness, she experienced leaving her body and floating near the ceiling, observing her frantic mother trying to wake her physical body. She felt completely detached from her body, viewing it as merely a coat or shell with no connection to her true self. She could clearly see and hear her mother screaming and shaking her body, but her mother could not hear Patricia's attempts to communicate from her out-of-body position. Patricia experienced two periods of darkness - one after hitting her head and another when she returned to looking up at her mother instead of down from the ceiling. After this experience, she developed remarkable precognitive abilities for 2-3 years, accurately predicting future events and gaining knowledge she shouldn't have possessed. Her parents confirmed this unusual behavior lasted until age 7-8.
