Patricia experienced a life-threatening emergency cesarean section due to eclampsia and hemorrhage in 1994. During surgery, her blood pressure dropped drastically and she felt her body failing from feet to cardiac plexus. She experienced clinical death when her baby was delivered. During the experience, she felt separated from her body and found herself floating in light with circles of light surrounding her. She encountered mystical beings in a foggy, light-filled environment where she experienced incredible peace and tranquility. Patricia underwent a life review, realizing that only her two-year-old son truly mattered to her at that moment. She experienced a 'negotiation' about her return with the beings of light, who emanated profound love and acceptance. She gained special knowledge about the continuity of life and eternity of the soul. After the negotiation, she was sent back to her body and regained consciousness in the hospital recovery room.
