Kelly experienced three separate near-death experiences between 1995-1999, all caused by severe allergic reactions to medications (Sulfa and Biaxan). In each incident, she was declared clinically dead for 30-45 minutes before being resuscitated. During the first experience in 1995, Kelly saw a tunnel with bright light and encountered her deceased grandmother and God, both appearing in white and glowing. Her grandmother told God she wasn't ready to come in, and Kelly woke up in the emergency room. She delivered a message from her grandmother to her father, bringing him to tears. In the second experience in 1998, she again saw the tunnel and bright light, but this time encountered her mother's best friend's deceased son Mike, who asked her to tell his mother he was fine and to stop worrying. Kelly delivered this message to Marge, who was also moved to tears. The third experience in 1999 involved seeing God and her best friend who had died in a drive-by shooting in 1987, with her friend simply saying she was fine. All three experiences followed the same pattern of tunnel, bright light, and encounters with deceased individuals who provided comfort messages for the living. Kelly reported that she was dead for nearly 45 minutes in the first incident and 38 minutes in the second, with medical staff using defibrillation paddles unsuccessfully until she spontaneously returned. These experiences profoundly changed her, giving her psychic abilities including seeing deceased people and predicting family deaths through dreams.
