Kim was receiving a PIC IV line at an urgent care clinic when she went into anaphylactic shock due to a latex allergy. She became dizzy, weak, and unable to form words. She experienced leaving her body and entering a parallel universe of unlimited white light with no landmarks. Her body was absorbed into the light and she felt surrounded by people, some known and unknown. She experienced the most serene contentment ever, with no pain.
Her deceased father asked if she had done everything she wanted to do on Earth. She heard her husband calling her name repeatedly but initially resisted returning due to the all-consuming delight and freedom from pain. After realizing she had work to do with her family, she struggled to return, feeling a pull between the two universes. She was "slammed" back into her body and expelled two pints of mucus.
